Leonardo Angelini is postdoctoral researcher at HumanTech Institute and Lecturer at HES-SO. His domain expertise is in human-computer interaction (tangible interaction, gesture interaction, multimodal interaction and affective computing). He’s responsible of the Work-Package for the interaction with the NESTORE virtual coach. He organized several workshops including, 3 workshops and tangible interaction with the Internet of Things at CHI and TEI, 3 workshops on full-body and multisensory interaction at Ubicomp and TEI, a workshop on ubiquitous chatbots at Ubicomp.
Mira El Kamali is a PhD student in Informatics at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland and works in collaboration with University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland in HumanTech Institute. Her research interest focuses on Human Computer Interaction, Conversational Agents and especially machine interfaces for older adults.
Omar Abou Khaled is Professor in computer science at HES-SO and member of HumanTech Institute. He is responsible of several projects in the field of Multimodal Interfaces, Context Awareness, Ambient Intelligence, Game and Serious Game, and Content-Based Multimedia Retrieval.
Elena Mugellini is currently Professor at HES-SO. Elena is the leader of HumanTech Institute. Her research expertise lies in Human Computer Interaction (multimodal and natural interaction, smart spaces, serious game and gamification, persuasive systems) and Intelligent Data Analysis (machine learning, multimedia content and knowledge management, semantic technologies) and she co-organized several workshops in this field.
Yordan Dimitrov is operations manager at Balkan Institute for Labour and Social Policy with 20 years of experience in research and project management activities in the social field. He is currently exploitation and communication manager of Horizon 2020 project Supporting Active Ageing through Multimodal coaching. In 2019 he was a co-organizer of a workshop Personalized Coaching for the Wellbeing of an Ageing Society.
Panagiotis Bamidis is Prof. in the Lab of Medical Physics, School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. In the In the last 10 years, he has been the co-ordinator of six large European projects including CAPTAIN as well as the principal investigator for a number of national and international funded projects.
Evdokimos Konstantinidis is the Product Manager in Nively SAS and leader of the Assistive Technologies and Silver Science Research Group in the Lab of Medical Physics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He is the Technical co-ordinator of the CAPTAIN project. His research interests focus on intervention for older adults in the field of exergaming and IoT technologies and living labs.
Zoraida Callejas is Associate Professor in the Department of Software Engineering at the Technical School of Computer Science and Telecommunications of the University of Granada (Spain). She is the Project Manager of the H2020-MSCA RISE project MENHIR about conversational systems for mental health, and the Bon-AppPetit regional project, that uses e-coaches to foster the acquisition of healthy activity and nutritional habits by children. Her research interest focus on affective dialogue systems and conversational interfaces.
David Griol is Associate Professor at the University of Granada and member of the Technical Office of the Spanish Plan for the Advancement of Language Technology (Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation). He has participated in several European and Spanish projects related to natural language processing, speech technologies and conversational interfaces. His research activities are mostly related to the development of statistical methodologies for the design of spoken dialog systems.
Manuel Noguera is Associate Professor in the Department of Software Engineering at the Technical School of Computer Science and Telecommunications of the University of Granada (Spain). He has recently coordinated the Spanish National Research Project AVISAME about the use of e-coaches for fostering healthy habits in older adults. His research interests are model-driven, ontology-driven approaches to systems and software engineering.
Kawtar Benghazi is Associate Professor in the Department of Software Engineering at the Technical School of Computer Science and Telecommunications of the University of Granada (Spain). She has participated in several research projects related to e-coaching. Her main research interests are model driven development and transformation, specification, verification and validation of systems, processes modelling and service-oriented architecture.
Dr. Gérard Chollet studied Linguistics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara where he was granted a PhD in Computer Science and Linguistics. In 1983, he joined a newly created CNRS research unit at ENST (now Institut Polytechnique de Paris). He supervised more than forty doctoral theses. CNRS decided last July 2012 to grant him an emeritus status.
Prof. M. Inés Torres – Full Professor, excellent level, of Computer Science at the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU (Spain). She founded the Speech-Interactive research group in 1990 (www.ehu.eus/en/web/speech-interactive). Visiting Faculty at Carnegie Mellon University in 2012 and visitor in 2013. Visiting Professor at the University of California under the Fulbright program in 2018. Coordinator of the H2020 SC1-PM-15 EMPATHIC project (http://www.empathic-project.eu) and participating in the H2020-MSCA- RISE MENHIR action.
Dimitrios I. Fotiadis is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering in the Dept. of Materials Science and Engineering, University of Ioannina, Greece. He is also the Director of MedLab and an Affiliated Member of FORTH-IMBB. He is Fellow of IEEE, Fellow of EAMBES, Fellow of IAMBE, member of IEEE Technical Committee of information Technology in Healthcare and the Editor in Chief of IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics and Associate Editor for Computers in Biology and Medicine.
Dr. Hannes Schlieter studied Business Information Systems at Dresden University of Technology (TUD). He is the head of the Healthy Living Competence Team (HeLiCT) as a research group at the Chair of Wirtschaftsinformatik, esp. Systems Development (TUD). The team includes researches of computer science, information systems, business management, and medical informatics who work together on issues from practice and research in regard to digital health initiatives. He has taken part in several nationally and EU-funded projects in the field of digital health and is now leading part of the vCare project coordination team.
